finance powerhouse

we're revolutionising accounting

Accounting is stuck in the past.

It’s left accountants (most of them anyway) bored, disillusioned and unfulfilled. It’s left the most exciting and innovative businesses struggling to get the finance and accounting support they really need.

We’re changing that... for you. And for every start-up in the world.

what you'll get from us

A job in our growing Indian team, working remotely with some of the most exciting, and fast growing businesses in the UK.

Some of the perks:

  • Access to some of the most innovative businesses in the UK and Europe (Charlie HR, Hussle, Hidden City, to name just a few)... and soon the world.
  • Modern systems and tools to make accounting
  • Hands-on experience working across multiple start-ups and scale-ups, from day 1. You’ll be in the deep-end but we will give you the tools and raining you need to deliver real value to our partners.
  • A team that will have your back and support your development, including a dedicated Partnership Director for each job, and a People Manager to work with you on your career development.
  • The experience to shape and grow multiple businesses at the same time.

And the reward is directly tied to how well we all do:

  • A competitive salary (we benchmark to the Big 4)
  • A share of the company profits (yes, really) paid out every 6 months
  • All the usual benefits... including healthcare

what a typical week looks like

  • Completing weekly and monthly finance tasks according to bespoke processes set up by our Finance Operations Manager.
  • Carrying out regular transaction processing across a portfolio of clients, managing and recording your work in our task management system.
  • Overseeing the month-end close process, including identifying and posting the journals required.
  • Carrying out analytical reviews of your own work, and that of other members of the team, to help identify and resolve anomalies.
  • Helping to manage client finance inboxes using our collaborative mailbox tool.  Triage and respond to inbound emails as appropriate.
  • Collating information for monthly payroll filings and create draft pay-runs.
  • Overseeing our credit control process on behalf of clients where appropriate, including scheduling outbound emails and filtering responses.
  • Coordinating closely with our teams in London by video calls, using our task management system, and by messenger.

what we need from you

  • A professional qualification in ICAI / ACCA or equivalent
  • 3+ years of working experience
  • Experience with Xero and/or Quickbooks is essential
  • Experience with UK payroll, statutory accounts, corporation tax and VAT is essential
  • Experience with UK companies
  • Experience working with technology startups is an advantage

Technology and systems:

  • We don’t expect you to have experience with using all of our systems already, but you will be expected to pick things up quickly.
  • We’re looking for someone who is excited about using new technology to make tasks more efficient and improve the way we work. A lot of companies are still using old technology and inefficient processes, and we want to change that.

High standards:

  • At Quantico, we strongly believe we provide the best accounting service in the world. Our people are at the heart of this, which is why we’re looking to hire people who hold themselves to the highest possible standards and always strive to achieve the best.

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.  The ability to build relationships quickly with colleagues in both India and the UK is a requirement.

Project management:

  • Ideal candidates will be organised and methodical, able to manage complex projects to tight deadlines. The ability to prioritise tasks and be aware of one’s own capabilities is essential.

We think differently, we are:

impatient for change

The way things are, aren’t good enough. The status quo is the worst possible outcome. We want to shake things up and make a splash. We’re not willing to wait for it. We’re building it right now.

hungry for criticism

It’s OK to fail. We learn from our mistakes. We always want to know how we can improve. How we can be better. Honesty is more important than anything. It drives us to innovate and to succeed.

unashamedly confident

We have passion and talent, and combined there is nothing we can’t do. We are never afraid to speak our mind. Our experience has bred wisdom. We will share it wherever it is needed.

fiercely supportive

As a team, we are greater than the sum of our parts. We put our people first and we’re there for each other. We collaborate, and share our knowledge and experience to improve us all.
